Nepal government formation begins as EC submits poll report to President

Kathmandu (Nepal), March 20 (ANI): The government formation process has officially begun after the Election Commission submitted its final report to President Ram Chandra Paudel. The report confirms 275 elected lawmakers under both FPTP and PR systems. Under PR, major gains came from Rastriya Swatantra Party (57), Nepali Congress (20), and CPN-UML (16), while smaller parties also secured representation. The President will now initiate government formation under Article 76. With oath-taking set for March 26, all eyes are on emerging contenders like Balendra Shah.
