New Delhi, September 4 (ANI): India’s national capital New Delhi is all set to host the G20 Leaders’ Summit in September. All eyes are on India as leaders from across the world will reach Delhi for the Leaders’ Summit. From US Prez Joe Biden to UK’s PM Rishi Sunak including several other leaders will be in Delhi this week. However, Russian Prez Putin will skip the G20 Summit in Sept and will send his foreign minister Lavrov to India. Also, Chinese President Xi Jinping is also likely to skip the G20 Leaders’ Summit in India. Highlighting Xi and Putin’s absence, MoS Meenakashi Lekhi said there won’t be any impact on the outcome of the Summit. Most of the leaders including Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau, and Anthony Albanese have confirmed their visit to India. At the end of the summit, a declaration will be adopted stating Leaders’ commitment towards the priorities discussed. India holds the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023. The G20 members represent around 85 per cent of the global GDP. It also represents over 75 per cent of the global trade and about two-thirds of the world’s population.
