The beautiful woman from Hai Phong is promoted to commercial director ahead of an international competition

Hanoi [Vietnam], September 26: In 2022, Pham Hoang Thu Uyen participated in Miss Universe Vietnam as a contestant. Four years later, the beauty from Hai Phong returned to the competition in a new role, as a member of the executive team, working on commercial and partnership matters.

For Thu Uyen, this return holds great significance because Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 is also the first beauty pageant she has participated in. "Over the past four years, I've gained a lot of experience in management, business, and the beauty industry. Having the opportunity to return to Miss Universe Vietnam in a completely different role, I see it as both a stroke of luck and a chance to contribute with the experience I've accumulated," she said.
Pham Hoang Thu Uyen graduated with a degree in Business Administration and previously worked in business management, operation, and development. Currently, she works in the healthcare and beauty industry. According to the beauty queen from Hai Phong, these experiences have given her a broader perspective when taking on her new role at Miss Universe Vietnam - no longer preparing for a competition or waiting for results on stage, but connecting with resources behind the competition.
As Commercial Director, Thu Uyen is responsible for developing partnerships, sponsorships, revenue, and collaborative programs for Miss Universe Vietnam. She believes that it's not just about finding partner brands, but also about finding a good fit between the partner and the competition.
"I think sponsorship isn't simply about finding resources for the competition. The important thing is that each collaboration creates value for both sides. I hope to work with my team to expand our network with businesses and build long-term relationships," the 9X beauty queen shared.
Having been a beauty pageant contestant herself, Thu Uyen understands that the journey doesn't end with the title. According to her, the experiences, relationships, and opportunities after the competition are what truly help a girl continue to grow. In her new role, she wants to contribute to expanding those opportunities, giving contestants more practical experience, allowing them to meet businesses and brands, and gradually shape their own path after the competition.
"Four years ago, I was one of the girls who received the opportunity to learn and grow through the competition. Four years later, I'm happy to be able to return and contribute a small part to creating those opportunities for the next generation of beauties," she said.
After Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, Thu Uyen continued to participate in beauty pageants, winning the title of First Runner-up at Miss Tourism Vietnam Global 2024 and being announced as the Vietnamese representative to compete at Miss Earth 2026.
Besides her activities in the beauty industry, she currently maintains a career in the health and beauty sector. Recently, Thu Uyen shared several workout videos, from gym workouts to catwalks and performance skills, in preparation for her journey to compete internationally.
