Ljubljana [Slovenia], April 27: Slovenia's jobless rate fell to a historic low of 3.1 percent in March, down by 0.6 percentage point from the same period last year, latest figures show.
A report published by the Statistical Office on Friday said the country had 32,000 unemployed people last month, in line with the International Labour Organisation's standard.
The unemployment rate was three percent among men and 3.2 percent among women, it said.
According to the latest report by the national Employment Service, vacancies on the job market are mostly for workers in manufacturing and construction sectors, as well as for cleaners and drivers.
Slovenia's government is anticipating a 2.4-percent gross domestic product (GDP) growth this year, compared to 1.6 percent in 2023.
